More Easter Gifts

Continuing on the theme of knitting for Easter, nothing conjures up images of Spring more than little lambs in a field.

This little lamb knitted in white and cream with pink inner ears would make a lovely gift for a spring baby.

She turned out a good size, 14 inches standing and 9 inches in a sitting position, all knitted in a DK yarn including the dress. The soft feminine colours would be ideal for a little girl’s nursery.

More Bunnies

Well it wouldn’t be spring or Easter without the bunny and these two are my favourite ones to make.

Both boy and girl bunny are from the same pattern, on the boy I changed to a white yarn for the tips of the ears and the muzzle to add variation.

Love making the little clothes for these bunnies, you can have such a lot of fun choosing colour combinations.

They are both 13 inches tall to the tips of their ears, so a good size, and a cuddly little gift to give along with an Easter Egg.

Mama and Baby Bunny

Weather is cold and miserable here at the moment. It is pouring down which is good, as it will hopefully clear the snow we had yesterday.

I find one of the best ways to get through January and February is to focus on Spring and use the ‘bad weather’ days to get creative and knit some gifts for Easter. There are some wonderful patterns out there for rabbits, chicks and little Lambs.

Just finished this cute little ensemble which would look wonderful as a centre piece in an Easter basket. It was knitted in DK yarn on 4mm and 3mm needles. It was all knitted flat so quite a bit of fiddly sewing involved but it does produce a sturdy enough toy for a little one to play with.

 

The mother bunny is 9 inches (23cms) in height and the baby bunny is 2.5 inches (7 cms)

The pram comes with mattress, little pillow and blanket. It measures 5.5 inches (14 cms) high and 6 inches (16cms) in length.

 

just the right size to accommodate the little bunny.

 The hood, handle and wheels are all knitted separately and attached to the body of the pram.

Although fiddly I think it turned out quite a cute project.
